Oppo has finally launched its latest flagship smartphone Oppo Find X in Paris last evening (19th June) at the Louvre museum. Oppo Find X has many innovative features keeping future in mind. Oppo Find X comes with a motorized Pop-up camera slider, which has AI-driven dual rear cameras and front (selfie) camera embedded. Once we activate and open the camera app, it pops up, and closes as we close. Similarly, when we initiate phone unlocking, the slider pops up and scans the face to deliver face unlocking feature. At the launch event and also on its official event website, Oppo puts emphasis on the durability tests they have done to validate motorized slider strength and efficiency, specifically 300,000+ tests were conducted.
Oppo Find X is equipped with 6.42-inch AMOLED display with Panoramic arc screen with state-of-the-art 19.5:9 aspect ratio for an all-display screen, and 93.8 % screen-to-body ratio, thereby providing an immersive and seamless visual experience. It comes with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. With the world’s first panoramic smartphone, Oppo has set a benchmark in the premium smartphones category. Oppo Find X is offered in two vibrant colors – Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue, both have a gemstone like shining quality and shines nicely at varied angles.
Oppo Find X with its hidden and innovative 3D cameras support defining technologies like O-Face recognition system which is built on 3D structured light and 15,000 facial dot recognition technologies. As claimed by Oppo, O-Face recognition exceeds fingerprint recognition by 20 times in terms of safety. Furthermore, due to the panoramic screen and 3D hidden cameras, there are no visible holes on the front and back side of the device.
Oppo Find X also offers a 25 MP AI-driven 3D camera for selfie personalization that analyzes facial, nose and eye components to give an artistic and personal touch to selfies. It also adds more value on the visual, social and entertainment front by 3D Omoji feature (built on the lines of Apple iPhone X Animoji) which enables virtual avatars in form of funny images to record and play with personal expressions. 3D Omoji technology works by capturing facial expressions in real-time mode to deliver the fun quotient for you and these Omojis can be shared with friends. Another key highlight of Oppo Find X, it is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of inbuilt storage to deliver top-notch performance for gaming, immersive videos, and real-time streaming applications.
Oppo Find X: Pricing details and availability
Oppo Find X price is revealed at the launch event in Paris and it comes at a price of EUR 999 (approx Rs. 78,800) and will go on sale from August 2018 onwards. Regarding its launch in India, Oppo Find X will be officially launched on July 12, 2018, as per the invites sent by Oppo India to different media groups. Oppo has partnered with Italian luxury car brand Lamborghini to offer a special Oppo Find X variant, this too was revealed at the launch event. Oppo Find X Lamborghini edition is priced at EUR 1699 (approx Rs. 1,34,000) and will be available in carbon black color variant. It is offered with Super VOOC charging that makes it possible for the battery to charge from 0 to 100 percent within quick time (roughly 35 minutes). Oppo Find X: Key Specifications and Features
On the camera front, Oppo Find X features a 20 MP (primary) + 16 MP (secondary) dual rear-lens camera module with f/2.0 aperture and OIS (optical image stabilization) technology to deliver sharp photos and scenes. The rear-lens module is equipped with AI Scene Recognition technology that is capable to recognize 800 scenes and henceforth offer a professional expertise to users while offering a seamless photography experience. Oppo Find X is also equipped with a 25 MP AI-driven 3D front camera to offer personalized selfies and making sure the users’ selfie photo experience in itself has all the attributes of a thoughtful and engaging story. The front camera also comes with a f/2.0 aperture.
Oppo Find X runs ColorOS 5.1 OS based on Android 8.1 Oreo mobile operating system. By re-designing ColorOS to adapt with the Panoramic screen, Oppo Find X succeeds in far-reaching improvements on user-interface (UI) and interaction fronts to deliver an amazing virtual experience to users. Oppo Find X is driven by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset with octa-core processor that has a processing speed up to 2.8 GHz.
The Adreno 630 GPU pushes graphics crunching and its performance equates to that of a desktop PC, enabling users to participate in games and heavy apps. Oppo Find X also features dual SIM slots that accept nano SIM type with dual standby feature. It is powered by a 3730 mAh Li-polymer non-removable battery with quick charge technology (VOOC). Regarding cellular technologies, Oppo Find X offers GSM, 3G, and 4G LTE with VoLTE support.
